Lafayette, Calif. - Oct. 30, 2004
Cinema Alchemy Training
– Using Movies as a Transformation Tool
Cinema Alchemy is an enjoyable way to
use the impact that movies have on us for the therapeutic
process. It teaches us to watch movies with conscious
awareness (a form of mindfulness practice) and to combine
the power of films with methods that are derived from
the field of Transpersonal Psychology (Psychosynthesis,
Jungian psychology, Diamond Approach, etc.). Building
a bridge between our realizations in "reel"
life and our experiences in real life can be transformational.
Attendees learned:
•
how and why movies affect the psyche
• how a client’s film experience can be
utilized in the context of hypnotherapy and other
therapeutic orientations with individuals, couples,
families and groups
• what guidelines to give to your clients
• what limitations to be aware of
There were lectures, demonstrations, case presentations,
movie clip viewing.

Psychospiritual Trainings
